MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Provides compliance support, advice, and guidance to the assigned business line, subsidiary (if any), and compliance areas (e.g., BSP regulations, Securities Regulation Code and its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and rules published by Self-Regulatory Organizations such as PDEX);
  2. Advises the business on the benefits and impact of regulations, current industry practices, and advancements on the assigned business line and compliance areas;
  3. Serves as a regulatory coordinator for projects, products, and services requiring implementation/application of regulations related to the assigned business line and compliance areas;
  4. Supports the Chief Compliance Officer to improve and maintain the day-to-day running of the Regulatory Affairs Group to ensure efficient decision-making and execution of tasks;
  5. Provides credible challenge in the area of compliance risk management;
  6. Supports the Regulatory Affairs Group's (RAG) compliance function by identifying developing issues and trends that may impact or be relevant to the RAG's management of regulatory, compliance, and AML risks;
  7. Supports the Chief Compliance Officer in ensuring quality and effective compliance inputs to the appropriate Governance and Board Committees;
  8. Keeps abreast of updates on BSP policies as stipulated in the Manual of Regulations for Banks (MORB) and Bank policies as specified in the Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Prevention Program (MTPP) through circulars, required seminars/programs and adheres to said policies.
