About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our growing data team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and workflows that support critical business functions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Finance, Business, and Compliance to ensure data accuracy, availability, and usability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Design and build scalable, efficient, and reliable ETL/ELT workflows and data pipelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity through reconciliation processes and timely delivery of reports.
  • Develop and optimize data solutions using Python, SQL, Databricks, and AWS services (e.g., S3, Lambda, Glue, Step Functions, Athena).

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in SQL for data querying and transformation.
  • Hands-on experience with Python for data processing and automation.
  • Experience with Databricks or similar data lake/data warehousing platforms.
  • Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Glue, Step Functions, and Athena.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working in a bank or fintech environment.
  • Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards in financial services.
