Qualifications

  • Required language(s): English, Filipino, Chinese (Mandarin)
  • Applicants must be willing to work in Makati City.

  • Native or near-native command of English is non-negotiable

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as an interpreter or translator

  • Has experience working with government agencies, legal documents or in customer service roles is a significant advantage.

Functions/ Deliverables

  1. Interpretation: Provides real-time interpretation during client interviews, SRRV application, meetings, including interpretation of documents submitted by clients in Chinese language.

  2. Translation: Assists with the translation of documents to Chinese languages, such as correspondences, emails or official notices, and marketing materials among others.

  3. Serves as an intercultural mediator or a "cultural bridge" facilitating communication and understanding between PRA personnel and clients from China.
  4. Must complete at least 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday)
  5. Submits a monthly report of accomplishment as basis for the payment.
