Role Summary

We are looking for a
Head of Finance
to lead and manage the financial operations of our retail business. This role oversees financial planning, reporting, cash flow, compliance, and financial controls, while providing strategic guidance to support business growth. The ideal candidate combines strong technical finance skills with a practical, hands-on approach suited for a growing retail organization.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Planning

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide insights to support management decisions.
  • Develop financial models to guide pricing, cost control, and expansion plans.

Financial Operations & Reporting

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting, financial statements, month-end close, and key reports.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely reporting of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
  • Implement and improve financial processes, systems, and internal controls.

Cash Flow, Treasury & Risk Management

  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity.
  • Oversee bank relationships, payments, and financial risk management.
  • Support decisions on capital investments, store openings, and major expenditures.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, taxation requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Establish financial policies and governance frameworks.

Business Partnership & Leadership

  • Work closely with operations, supply chain, merchandising, and management.
  • Provide financial insights on retail performance, margins, and operating efficiency.
  • Lead and develop the finance and accounting team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; CPA is an advantage.
  • 8+ years of relevant leadership experience in finance or accounting, preferably within retail, FMCG, or multi-site operations.
  • Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, reporting, and controls.
  • Experience in both strategic planning and hands-on financial operations.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
