Procurement Analyst

Key responsibilities

• Supplier analysis: Research and evaluate potential suppliers based on factors like price, quality, delivery times, and reliability.
• Negotiation: Negotiate contract terms and prices with suppliers to achieve the best possible outcomes for the company.
• Data analysis and reporting: Analyze spending patterns, market trends, and other procurement data to inform strategy and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Contract management: Manage procurement contracts, track invoices, and ensure all agreements are being followed.
• Compliance and risk management: Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations. Assess and mitigate risks associated with suppliers and supply chains.
• Inventory and demand monitoring: Monitor supply demands to ensure the company has adequate inventory for its operations and production needs.
• Relationship management: Maintain communication and build relationships with both suppliers and internal departments to ensure smooth operations.

Essential skills and qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools, especially Microsoft Excel, and other procurement software.
• A deep understanding of supply chain principles and processes.
• Experience with contract management and record-keeping.
• Attention to detail for tasks like purchase order accuracy and cost tracking.
• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field like business, economics, or a related area
