Position: Assistant Culinary Training Consultant (Korean-Speaking) / (Contract-Based)

Why we need you: As an Assistant Culinary Training Consultant, you'll play a key role in ensuring our culinary training services inspire and empower crew members to achieve excellence. We are seeking a Korean-speaking professional with a strong understanding of Korean cuisine to provide culturally aligned training and consultancy, empowering crew members to succeed in their roles.

Here's What You'll Be Doing:

  • Effectively executing culinary training programs.
  • Assessing the competence and progress of trainees.
  • Ensuring proper inventory procedures are followed in the galley.
  • Preparing and organizing training courses and materials.
  • Compiling and submitting post-training reports.
  • Following established communication and reporting protocols.
  • Reporting to the Culinary Training Manager regarding updates or training challenges.
  • Coordinating with the Operations Manager on administrative and operational matters.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

You need these qualifications:

  • Graduate of a Culinary College or Hotel Management College.
  • At least two years of working experience as a Chef.
  • Excellent command of the English language (written and verbal).
  • Korean language proficiency (written and verbal).
  • Familiarity with Korean cuisine (required).
  • Good communication skills.
  • Computer literacy, including strong knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel.

It Would Be Nice If:

  • You have prior experience in conducting culinary training or mentoring kitchen staff.
  • Experience as a Chief Cook onboard merchant vessels is an advantage.
  • You are familiar with maritime catering standards and practices.
