Our Cement site service business is growing. For this reason, we are seeking a new colleague for the position of Senior Engineer in Grinding and Installation Services within grinding technology. As a Senior Field Engineer, you will be highly specialized and act as the technical owner of the related grinding equipment services in Asia.

You will be responsible for the technical development and standardization of these services. Together with our regional sales and service teams, you will support the growth of services and ensure quality and a consistent service offering globally within the organization. You will also perform services, inspections, and troubleshooting within the grinding product line (ball mills and vertical roller mills), as well as related machinery.

You will be employed in Manila, Philippines but the jobs will be executed globally. You can expect travel up to 120 days per year, to customer sites from your base location in Manila The job durations typically range from 1 week to 4 weeks, with a good work-life balance.

Most site assignments will be in various Asian countries, with opportunities to work at global locations as well. You can look forward to a job with a high degree of flexibility and the possibility to travel to remote parts of the world, giving you the chance to experience different cultures and people. In FLSmidth Cement Grinding Services department we also perform mechanical installation services and support peers at customer sites within the cement industry.

You will also be part of a competent and agile team within installation services, which is well supported in our business stake holders in our company. This offers several opportunities for cross collaboration with global specialists, regional installation service partners and personal development within our organisation. Your ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate strong leadership by running pre-start meetings, allocating daily tasks, and collaborating with various stakeholders in a multidisciplinary environment at designated cement sites

Responsible for the safe execution of maintenance services including the planning and coordination of equipment needs

Oversee the daily planning and execution of maintenance activities, ensuring they meet specified timeframes and quality standards

Provide strong leadership and supervision of trades and subcontractors during shutdowns across multiple sites in AsiaPlan and schedule the crew's workloads effectively to ensure shutdown requirements and timeframes are met

Ensure all work is completed safely & timely manner in accordance with the company's standards and client's requirements

Engage with customer to perform remote support as well as generating sales leads and opportunities

Drive service growth through on-site presence with regional sales teams

Coordinate shutdown work activities, including assessment of work instructions, procedures, manning levels, and skill sets. Conduct shutdown maintenance installation services, including scoping, proposal, risk assessment, initial meetings with clients, contractor selection, contract negotiation, and pre-project visits. Qualification, Skills & ExperienceDegree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 15 years of experience in cement plants or related cement plant installation / shutdown maintenance company.

Proven "hands on" supervisory experience with Vertical Roller mills and Ball Mills. Knowledge of additional FLSmidth Cement equipment such as Kiln, Clinker coolers will be considered an advantage

Demonstrated problem-solving skills combined with effective English communication skills.Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve issues efficiently.Proven ability to develop and maintain working relationship with external & internal key stakeholders.Exhibit strong commitment to fostering a positive safety culture ensuring safety protocols are followed at all levels
