Accounting Associate – Accounts Receivable

Location: Mandaue City, Cebu

About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive

Accounting Associate – Accounts Receivable to support our finance operations and ensure timely, accurate collections and documentation. This role is critical in maintaining audit-ready records, aligning with BIR and LGU requirements, and supporting our HACCP-compliant financial workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage customer accounts, ensuring timely invoicing and collections
  • Prepare and reconcile aging reports, payment schedules, and collection summaries
  • Coordinate with Sales and Logistics teams to validate billing and delivery documentation
  • Issue official receipts and ensure proper BIR compliance (e.g., VAT, e-invoicing, 2307 forms)
  • Maintain accurate records of AR transactions in the accounting system
  • Assist in preparing monthly AR reports for internal audit and management review
  • Support external audit requirements and LGU/BIR documentation requests
  • Flag and escalate overdue accounts and recommend collection strategies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting
  • Familiarity with Philippine tax regulations and BIR documentation
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or ERP systems)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG accounting
  • Knowledge of HACCP-aligned documentation and audit protocols
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams (Sales, Logistics, Admin)
  • Familiarity with e-invoicing and digital audit trail systems
