About Us:

The American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, Inc. (AmCham) is dedicated to fostering business growth and shaping policies that drive economic development in the Philippines. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Advocacy and Research Specialist to strengthen our advocacy initiatives, produce evidence-based research, and support grant-funded projects under The Arangkada Philippines Project (TAPP).

The Advocacy and Research Specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring AmCham's advocacy positions are well-researched, timely, and effectively communicated. This role involves advancing policy initiatives, coordinating with key stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with donor and grant requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft policy briefs, position papers, and advocacy documents
  • Conduct economic and policy research; organize consultations, events, and stakeholder meetings
  • Coordinate with government, business, and media stakeholders
  • Manage donor reporting, trackers, and compliance with grant requirements
  • Oversee budgets, expenditures, and financial reporting for grant-funded activities
  • Support the agenda-setting and execution of the annual Arangkada Philippines Forum

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Economics, Public Policy, International Studies, or related field (Master's is a plus)
  • Experience in advocacy, policy research, and grant/donor project management
  • Strong research, writing, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Familiarity with the Philippine political and economic landscape is an advantage
