POSITION PURPOSE

  • Assist in engineering design, preparation of plans, specifications, and project studies for the projects.
  • Knows how to operate computer-assisted engineering & design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
  • Inspects completed installations and observes operations to ensure the performance of design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards. Knowledgeable in Estimates for Mechanical works and other trades.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

  1. Provides Mechanical Layouts

  2. Provides estimates and specifications

  3. Develops initial project schedules and monitors the subsequent process

  4. Review technical documents to plan work

  5. Design industrial processing system & Design Industrial Equipment

  6. Evaluate characteristics of equipment or systems

  7. Confer with other personnel to prepare design or operational problems

  8. Investigate system, equipment or product failure

  9. Implement design or process improvements

  10. Advise others regarding green practices or environmental concerns

  11. Can perform processing documents needed on the projects

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • Graduate of BS Mechanical Engineering

EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have at least 3-5 years experience in the field of engineering
  • Must have experience in government construction projects

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

  • Candidate must possess at least Professional License in Engineering – Mechanical Engineer
  • Knowledgeable in HVAC Design

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Good communication skills.
  • Have excellent leadership and organizational skills and the ability to motivate people.
  • Excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative.
  • Ability to use computer for word processing and data management.
