Job Summary:

The Mechanic is responsible for performing maintenance, diagnostic, and repair services on vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation. This role involves troubleshooting mechanical issues, conducting preventive maintenance, and ensuring all repair work meets company and industry standards.


Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical problems in vehicles.
  • Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, brake servicing, tune-ups, wheel alignments, and tire replacements.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance checks to ensure vehicles are roadworthy and compliant with safety standards.
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues and recommend solutions.
  • Replace or repair worn-out parts such as clutches, transmissions, engines, suspension, and steering components.
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
  • Ensure proper use and care of tools, equipment, and work areas.
  • Follow company policies, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Assist in training junior mechanics or apprentices when required.
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors and supervisors regarding vehicle status and repair recommendations.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or vocational course in Automotive Servicing (TESDA NC II or NC III is an advantage).
  • Proven experience as an automotive mechanic or technician.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle systems (engine, transmission, brakes, electrical, suspension, etc.).
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools, mechanical instruments, and repair equipment.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.
  • Team player with good communication and time-management skills.
