Architectural Designer/Drafter

Key Responsibilities

Drawing

  • Preparation of architectural designs and structural drawings using AutoCAD and REVIT, and ensuring that design drawings conform to specifications provided.
  • Preparation of detailed drawings for the construction and alteration of buildings, utilities, structures and other improvements.

Project Take Off

  • Analyses drawing and specifications of the project
  • Liaise with the client on project specifications and ensures all questions are captured and answered

Estimation

  • Gathering, compiling and review of tender package data
  • Preparation of accurate estimates of materials, activities & quantities for tender projects based on drawing plans & specifications
  • Ensures profitability of projects when creating estimations, ensuring correct pricing is charged accordingly

Communication

  • Source out of pricing from suppliers
  • Liaising with clients to ensure we know everything required to successfully bid and win the project
  • Follow up on quotes sent to the clients to ensure that the bid was received
  • Communicates with the Project Managers promptly and clearly to ensure smooth project management, highlights critical issues that we may encounter in the project

Technical Drawings & Plans:

  • Prepare as-built plans, drawings, and designs based on client specifications

What We're Looking For:

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil / Architecture / Drafting

Experience & Skills:

  • Has experience in construction projects, particularly in infrastructure
  • Must be knowledgeable in the latest AutoCAD software, Revit, SketchUp 2D and Civil 3D.
  • Proficient in drafting works and technical detailing
  • Preferably with Survey drafting experience
  • Ability to understand construction plans
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced environment

Technical Requirements:

Own & backup laptop/desktop (i5 processor or higher) with a dual monitor setup Stable internet connection (at least 50MBPS) Backup power source to prevent work interruptions

Noise-canceling headset for clear communication
