THE OPPORTUNITYThe Senior Legal Counsel and Corporate Compliance Officer is responsible for providing expert legal support and managing the company's corporate compliance program. This role requires a multifaceted legal generalist with at least 5 years of experience, a strong, assertive personality, and the ability to handle both advisory-level work and routine legal administration. The role covers a broad range of legal domains including labor law, contract review, litigation, tax, labor, immigration, and compliance, and is integral to ensuring that the organization adheres to applicable laws, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards—particularly in the gaming and auditing sectors.

This position requires sound legal judgment, attention to detail, and a hands-on approach in supporting internal teams, managing regulatory matters, and fostering a culture of compliance throughout the organization. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Project & Procurement SupportReview and advise on legal aspects of client projects and procurement, including preparation and vetting of Terms of Reference (TOR).2.

Cross-Functional CollaborationCollaborate with HR, Audit, Operations, and IT to integrate legal and compliance initiatives across the organization.3. Contract Review & DraftingDraft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements that align with legal requirements and business goals.4. Litigation & Dispute ResolutionManage legal disputes and coordinate with external counsel on strategy and resolution.5.

Tax, Labor, and Immigration SupportProvide legal guidance on tax compliance, employment law, labor relations, and immigration matters such as work permits and visas.6. Compliance Program OversightDevelop and maintain the corporate compliance framework, including internal controls and reporting systems.7. Legal & Regulatory OversightLiaise with regulatory agencies and external counsel to ensure compliance with laws and industry standards, especially in gaming and auditing.8.

Regulatory MonitoringTrack legal and industry regulatory changes, advising teams on their impact.9. Legal Advisory & Risk ManagementProvide legal counsel on operations and compliance risks; conduct risk assessments and mitigation.10. Compliance InvestigationsLead investigations of compliance issues and implement corrective actions.11.

Administrative Legal SupportHandle routine legal tasks such as documentation, policy maintenance, and corporate housekeeping.12. Other DutiesPerform additional legal and compliance tasks as required. JOB QUALIFICATION ADN SPECIFICATIONSJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Member of the Philippine Bar in good standing. Minimum of 5 years of broad legal experience, including corporate law, HR, litigation, and compliance. Experience in gaming, auditing, or a regulated industry is preferred.

Strong skills in legal research, contract drafting, and regulatory interpretation. Proven ability to balance legal rigor with practical business needs. Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. High level of discretion in handling sensitive legal and corporate matters. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

WORKING CONDITIONSFull-time, office-based position. Occasional travel may be required for meetings with regulatory bodies, clients, or legal proceedings.
