About the Role

We're looking for an experienced OpenShift Consultant who can span responsibilities from administration to architecture. This means owning the platform end-to-end — from installation, upgrades, and automation, to designing enterprise-grade OpenShift clusters that integrate with CI/CD pipelines, observability, and hybrid/multi-cloud setups.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional DevOps, Security, and Cloud Engineering teams to build reliable, scalable OpenShift environments that power mission-critical applications.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and manage Red Hat OpenShift clusters across on-prem and cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Handle installation, upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting of OpenShift components.
  • Implement automation for provisioning and configuration using Ansible, Terraform, or Helm.
  • Define and enforce security policies, RBAC, namespaces, network policies, and secrets management.
  • Collaborate with developers and DevOps teams to optimize container orchestration and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk).
  • Provide architectural input for cluster sizing, high availability, and DR strategies.
  • Troubleshoot performance, networking, and scaling issues in production.
  • Mentor junior admins and contribute to OpenShift adoption best practices.

Must-Have Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in container orchestration platforms, with at least 3+ years in OpenShift administration or architecture.
  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes concepts (pods, deployments, services, ingress, CRDs).
  • Hands-on with Linux (RHEL/CentOS) administration and shell scripting.
  • Proficiency in OpenShift cluster management, operators, routes, and projects.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD).
  • Experience with Ansible, Terraform, or Helm for automation.
  • Familiar with networking, load balancing, and storage concepts in container environments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize complex OpenShift environments.

Good-to-Have
  • Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration (EX280) or OpenShift Architect certification.
  • Knowledge of Istio/Service Mesh, Operator Framework, or GitOps workflows.
  • Experience designing hybrid or multi-cluster architectures.
  • Exposure to DevSecOps or platform engineering practices.
  • Background in microservices deployment and observability stacks.
