Their flagship analytics solution delivers comparative dashboards and benchmarking tools that empower clients to make strategic, data-driven decisions.

Overview

The Technical Developer (Data & Tableau Engineer) will serve as the technical lead responsible for building and maintaining the end-to-end data pipelines, ETL workflows, and Tableau dashboards that power a large-scale analytics platform. This role requires deep technical capability in Alteryx, Tableau, and SQL, with experience in Snowflake or an equivalent data warehouse environment.

The successful candidate will replace mock datasets with live client data and lead the development of data ingestion and transformation pipelines. This is a high-autonomy role suited to a developer who can manage deliverables independently in a lean and high-impact team structure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and optimise Alteryx workflows for automation, data cleansing, and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain data ingestion pipelines from APIs, Excel files, CSVs, and other data dumps.
  • Build and manage ETL processes and data models within Snowflake (or equivalent) for scalability and performance.
  • Adapt and connect Tableau dashboards to live client data sources.
  • Optimise SQL queries, workflow efficiency, and data performance.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and integrity across all ingestion and transformation layers.
  • Collaborate closely with technical and product leaders to ensure alignment on platform milestones.
  • Support dashboard embedding and integration with the web platform (HTML, CSS, or JavaScript experience desirable).
Skills & Experience
  • Strong expertise in Tableau (permissions, embedding, performance optimisation).
  • Advanced experience with Alteryx and/or Power Automate for workflow design.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data modelling using Snowflake or equivalent (Databricks, Redshift, GCP).
  • Proven ability to ingest and process diverse client data sources (APIs, structured and unstructured data).
  • Web embedding knowledge (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) preferred but not required.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Highly independent and proactive with strong ownership of deliverables.
Ideal Profile
  • 4–7 years' experience in BI, data engineering, or analytics development.
  • Comfortable being the key technical owner in a small, high-responsibility environment.
  • Must be available for four hours of daily overlap with UK business hours during onboarding.
  • Demonstrates adaptability, initiative, and problem-solving within evolving data environments.
