RESPONSIBILITIES


• Tax Due Diligence

o Conduct thorough tax due diligence reviews for potential mergers and acquisitions.

o Identify tax risks and opportunities associated with target companies.

o Prepare comprehensive due diligence reports outlining findings and recommendations.


• Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A)

o Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to evaluate the tax implications of M&A transactions.

o Provide strategic tax planning advice to optimize transaction structures and minimize tax liabilities.

o Support negotiation processes by providing tax-related insights and analyses.


• Tax Return Preparation

o Oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns for corporate entities.

o Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations while optimizing tax positions.

o Review and approve tax provisions and reports prepared by junior staff.


• Research and Analysis

o Stay updated on tax law changes and their impacts on the organization.

o Conduct technical research to support tax planning strategies and decisions.

o Develop and implement effective tax strategies to enhance the company's tax position.


• Team Leadership and Development

o Mentor and train junior tax staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

o Manage workloads and ensure timely completion of tax projects.

o Promote collaboration and communication within the tax department and across the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting

  • Preferably a Certified Public Accountant

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Philippine tax compliance, tax due diligence, and M&A

  • Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws, rules, and regulations

  • Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex tax concepts clearly (both written and verbal).

  • Proven leadership abilities and experience managing teams.

  • Can work onsite and residing within Metro Manila or nearby provinces (e.g., Laguna, Cavite), have worked with the top 10 accounting/consultancy firm in the Philippines
