The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) within the Australian Embassy in Manila, Philippines is a lead agency managing Australia's international presence. DFAT is seeking highly motivated and experienced individuals to fill temporary vacancies within the Embassy.
Temporary vacancies are usually filled on a short-term contract basis from those listed on the Embassy's temporary staff register. Most vacancies are full-time or part-time but less than six (6) months in length. Types of temporary vacancies include administrative assistant, services coordinator, registry/file assistant, and driver positions.
Please note that applications are kept on file for 12 months. Your application will be considered when temporary vacancies arise and decisions are based on suitability, and availability. Start dates for all temporary vacancies are subject to satisfactory background checks being completed for all individuals. Only those applicants with valid authorisation to work in the Philippines will be considered for the Temporary Staff Registry.
Terms of Employment
Temporary vacancies are a locally engaged staff position based at the Australian Embassy Manila. It is not an Australian Public Service position. The successful candidates will be engaged in full-time or part-time work arrangement. The successful candidate will be expected to commence as soon as possible. The successful candidate will be entitled to applicable conditions as per the locally engaged staff conditions of service.
