What You Will Do

We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join our Revenue Intelligence team at Nasdaq. The team supports our Financial Technology division by designing, building and deploying analytics to enrich decision making. The role will focus on optimizing and scaling our reporting architecture leveraging internal databases and establishing new integrations. They will also be designing, building and visualizing data through dashboards and reports to provide insight to senior leadership within the organization.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data structures / relationships, have significant experience with querying and object-oriented programming languages, be extremely proficient in visualization / BI tools, and have a knack for automation to ensure their work scales. Most importantly, the candidate should be deeply curious with an ability to generate insights from complex (and sometimes noisy) data.

• Design, integrate and deploy data models to support a diverse set of analytics.
• Utilize advanced data testing, validation and enrichment techniques to ensure the integrity of datasets.
• Analyze and interpret complex data to provide actionable insights for senior leadership.
• Develop visually impactful and insightful data visualizations to communicate complex data trends and patterns.
• Build and run a diverse set of models/scenarios to quantify risks and opportunities for the business.
• Design and deploy automations for standard workflows, processes, and reports to ensure scale in everything we do.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices in data visualization and implement innovative approaches to enhance data storytelling.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and ensure data accuracy and completeness.

What We Expect

• Have at least 5+ years of experience in understanding data structures and database management.
• Experience with querying and object-oriented programming languages.
• Experience with statistical inference and matrix methods.
• Expertise in Business Intelligence visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI)
• Experience with integrating data from multiple systems / tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Expertise in data analysis techniques and statistical methods.
