Technical Data Analyst 2

As a Technology Analyst for data and analytics solutions, you'll play a critical role in building and delivering innovative data solutions that drive growth, efficiencies, and automation. Your expertise in data management principles and analytical capabilities will help us stay ahead of the curve in the competitive technology industry. With a keen eye for detail and a love for data, you'll ensure that our systems are accurate and stable. You'll work closely with key stakeholders, collaborating with other IT, business, and analytics teams to drive improvements throughout the business. Your ability to broaden your exposure to other functions and influence thinking will be essential to your success as a Data Analyst at Asurion.

• Develop a profound understanding of customer needs and translate them into precise data product requirements in Enterprise Data Platform (EDP).
• Perform data analysis and extraction needs of the business.  These are KTBR or ad-hoc data requirements of TCP that don't require development of data marts or dashboards/reports.
• Work with Quant Analysts to design Foundational Models and Data Marts that support both tactical and strategic needs of the business.  These include strategies for the implementation of advanced analytics solutions including AI.
• Engage in technical dialogues with engineers to conceptualize product solutions, drive value, and influence the direction of both data products and the business.
• Conduct thorough exploratory data analyses to unearth trends, patterns, and anomalies in EDP, from data ingestion to data marts.
• Design, develop, and implement data quality rules, metrics, and dashboards to monitor and improve data integrity across the enterprise.  This includes the possible applications of Gen AI solutions.
• Collaborate with Analytics and Data Engineering teams to implement effective data quality checks and establish acceptance criteria based approved service level agreement (SLA).
• Work with concerned DevOps teams to sustain the effective monitoring of platform availability and data integrity.
• Create and maintain overall documentation for the team, including team structure, best practices, data mart design, data mart overview/details, source-to-mappings.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to implement disaster recovery solutions for EDP.  This includes alignment to strategies that can satisfy the minimum business expectations in case of platform incident.
• Cultivate a robust understanding of Enterprise Data Platform frameworks and tools to guide customers towards fitting solutions.
• Learn industry trends and solutions such as GenAI to improve the platform and increase team efficiency.
• Continuously learn Asurion's supply chain processes, business systems, and data entities.

Experiences, Skillsets & Personal Competencies:

• Possess 5+ years of experience as a data analyst or data engineer within a modern data platform environment.
• Strong knowledge of data analytics, data engineering, and related technologies (SQL, Python, AWS, etc.)
• Display a solid grasp of fundamental Big Data concepts and technologies like Hive, Presto, Apache Spark, and familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Familiarity with crafting data models, along with experience in Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes.
• Exhibit exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to engage effectively with stakeholders across various levels.
• Demonstrate robust analytical and problem-solving aptitude to delve into intricate data challenges. Proficiency in tracing lineage and identifying potential data issues.
• Exhibit strong adaptability to shifting priorities and the capacity to adeptly manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, maintaining a high level of precision and attention to detail.
• Possess knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI, SSRS, or similar platforms for crafting insightful reports and dashboards.
• Experience in Agile methodologies and proficiency in project management tools like Jira for task prioritization and management related to data product development.
• Display a keen interest in staying abreast of the latest advancements in data analytics, data engineering, and relevant technologies.
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations, coupled with experience in implementing data security and governance best practices, is a plus.
