The Opportunity:ECI has an exciting opportunity for IT Business Analyst—Network Engineering, who will act as a critical link between our clients' business objectives and our internal network engineering team.

The role involves gathering, interpreting, and translating business requirements into actionable network solutions that support operational goals across multiple client environments. This role may sometimes be client-facing, requiring technical fluency, strong business acumen, and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, service-driven environment. This is an onsite role.

What you will do:Engage with internal teams and clients to gather and document technical and business requirements related to networking solutions (e.g., firewalls, SD-WAN, cloud networking, switches, routing, wireless). Work closely with Network Engineers, Project Managers, and Account Managers to scope and design solutions aligned with client goals and MSP best practices. Create and maintain business requirement documents (BRDs), network diagrams, solution proposals, and project charters.

Analyze client infrastructure and recommend improvements, upgrades, or new implementations to enhance security, scalability, and performance. Participate in network assessments, discovery sessions, and pre-sales discussions as needed. Assist in planning and coordinating project rollouts, migrations, and integrations involving network services.

Support the implementation of client-specific SLAs, ensuring all network solutions meet uptime, security, and compliance requirements. Facilitate UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and post-implementation reviews to assess solution effectiveness. Maintain documentation on client environments and contribute to standard operating procedures.

Provide input on internal tools and platforms to improve service delivery efficiency. Who you are:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.2–4 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, focusing on infrastructure or networking projects, preferably in an MSP or multi-client environment. Understanding of core networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, routing, firewalls, cloud networking).

Strong documentation skills (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, Confluence, SharePoint). Experience with ticketing and project management systems (e.g., ServiceNow, ConnectWise, Autotask, Jira). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confident in interfacing with technical teams and business stakeholders.

Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks in a deadline-driven environment. Bonus points if you have:Previous experience in an MSP or IT consulting firm. Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, ITIL Foundation, or CBAP.Familiarity with MSP tools like ConnectWise Manage, ConnectWise Automate, N-Able, or Datto RMM.Knowledge of cloud environments (Azure, AWS) and hybrid networking.ECI's culture emphasizes connection—with clients, technology, and each other.
