Job Overview

The Inventory Operator plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous, efficient, and cost-effective operation of Filoil Logistics Corporation's CME (Coco Methyl Ester) plant. The role is responsible for planning, scheduling, and controlling all production activities, raw material requirements, and finished product inventory to ensure that customer demands are met while maintaining optimal stock levels and minimizing production downtime.

This position serves as the link between Production, Procurement, Logistics, Warehouse, and Quality Control, ensuring that material flow, output, and storage are synchronized with operational goals and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

A. Production Planning

• Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on sales forecasts, plant capacity, and resource availability.
• Coordinate with Maintenance and Quality teams to align schedules with maintenance shutdowns and product testing.
• Track production output versus plan, investigate variances, and propose corrective measures.
• Support efficiency improvement initiatives and optimize manpower, equipment, and material utilization.

B. Material Planning & Control

• Prepare Material Requirement Plans (MRP) for crude coconut oil (CCO), methanol, catalyst, and utilities.
• Monitor raw material consumption, yield losses, and recoveries (e.g., methanol recovery, glycerol output).
• Maintain accurate records of material movements and issue timely reorder alerts.
• Coordinate with suppliers and procurement to ensure on-time deliveries and quality compliance.
• Analyze material trends and suggest inventory optimization strategies to minimize holding costs.

C. Inventory Management

• Supervise the movement and reconciliation of raw materials, in-process, and finished goods.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through daily reconciliation and monthly stock verification.
• Ensure FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and proper storage conditions for all materials.
• Monitor tank farm levels (CCO, CME, methanol) to prevent shortages or overflows.
• Update and validate ERP or spreadsheet-based inventory records with accurate transaction details.

D. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare and submit production reports, material usage summaries, and inventory statements.
• Track and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for production and inventory control.
• Assist in DOE, DENR, ISO, and internal audits through proper documentation and compliance.
• Provide data-driven insights to management for forecasting and cost control.

E. Coordination & Compliance

• Liaise with Procurement, Warehouse, Finance, and Logistics for synchronized operations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
• Support sustainability initiatives such as waste reduction, methanol recovery, and energy efficiency.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
• Licensed Engineer preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum 3–5 years experience in production and material planning in a biofuel, oleochemical, or chemical plant.
• Experience in tank farm operations, ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), and material balance analysis preferred.

Technical Competencies:

• Knowledge of CME process flow, raw material consumption, and recovery systems.
• Strong background in MRP, inventory control, and production scheduling tools.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP, or SAP.
• Strong analytical and coordination skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
