Job Title: HR IT Support Associate

Job Summary

The HR IT Support Associate provides technical and systems support to the Human Resources department, ensuring the smooth operation of HR-related technologies such as biometrics, HRIS, and internal IT tools. This role serves as the bridge between HR operations and IT systems, supporting day-to-day HR processes through reliable technical assistance and system recommendations.

Job Description / Key Responsibilities

  • Provide IT and technical support to the HR department, particularly for biometric systems, timekeeping devices, and attendance monitoring.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and support HRIS platforms, including employee records, access rights, and basic system configurations.
  • Assist HR in system data accuracy, uploads, reports, and routine system checks.
  • Coordinate with external vendors or internal IT teams regarding HR-related systems and hardware issues.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes by setting up system access, biometrics enrollment, and IT credentials.
  • Recommend HRIS or system improvements based on operational needs and observed gaps.
  • Ensure proper documentation of HR IT processes, system issues, and resolutions.
  • Assist in basic IT support tasks such as workstation setup, software installation, and troubleshooting for HR users.
  • Ensure compliance with company data privacy and information security policies.
  • Provide timely support during payroll cutoffs, attendance closing, and other HR-critical periods.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, HR-related courses, or equivalent experience.
  • 1–2 years of experience in IT support, HRIS support, or a similar HR–IT hybrid role.
  • Hands-on experience with biometric systems, timekeeping software, and attendance tools.
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms (e.g., payroll, employee records, time & attendance systems).
  • Basic knowledge of IT troubleshooting (hardware, software, user access, basic networking).
  • Strong attention to detail, especially in handling employee and attendance data.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work closely with HR and non-technical users.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Willing to support HR operations during peak periods (payroll, audits, onboarding).
