Job description:

  • Perform welding tasks using GMAW and SMAW welding on heavy equipment components, including frames, chassis, and other structural parts.
  • Ensure that all welds are completed according to specifications, blueprints, and industry standard
  • Identify and rectify any defects or issues in welds, ensuring compliance with safety and quality regulations in coordination with immediate superior.
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while performing welding tasks, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Work closely with other welders, assemblers, and production staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in welding or a related field is preferred.
  • Must possess NCII certification.
  • Previous experience in welding, particularly in heavy equipment or manufacturing, is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of welding techniques, materials, and safety practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
