Job Summary:

The Finance Supervisor is responsible for managing the company's cash flow, liquidity, banking operations, and short-term investments to ensure financial stability and optimal use of funds. This role supervises treasury staff, oversees payment and funding activities, and maintains strong banking relationships. The position also supports financial planning, foreign exchange risk management, and compliance with treasury policies and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

Treasury Operations

  • Oversee daily cash positioning and ensure sufficient liquidity for operational and investment needs.
  • Monitor and manage the company's cash flow on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Supervise and authorize payments, fund transfers, and cash disbursements.
  • Manage intercompany funding, loans, and settlements.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in treasury transactions and bank reconciliations.
  • Monitor short-term and long-term borrowing requirements and manage credit facilities.

Banking & Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with banks and other financial institutions.
  • Coordinate with banks on opening/closing accounts, credit line renewals, and facility documentation.
  • Review and negotiate banking terms, fees, and interest rates to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Serve as the main contact for banking queries, compliance requirements, and treasury services.

Cash Flow & Liquidity Management

  • Prepare and update rolling cash flow forecasts and variance analyses.
  • Monitor working capital metrics (receivables, payables, inventory) to optimize liquidity.
  • Identify surplus funds for short-term investment and ensure returns are maximized within risk parameters.
  • Manage currency exposures and coordinate hedging activities where applicable.

Treasury Controls & Compliance

  • Develop, implement, and maintain treasury policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
  • Support internal and external audits related to treasury operations.
  • Maintain proper documentation for treasury transactions and bank facilities.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare treasury reports including daily cash positions, cash flow forecasts, and funding summaries.
  • Support management in liquidity planning and capital structure analysis.
  • Provide treasury-related inputs to financial statements and management reports.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and develop treasury and finance staff, ensuring efficient operations and skill development.
  • Collaborate with other finance and business units to align treasury activities with overall business goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, Finance or any business related-course.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in treasury management, banking processes, and financial systems.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills for assessing cash flow and liquidity needs.
  • Proficient in using online banking platforms and financial management software.
  • Strong communication skills for liaising with banks, management, and internal departments.
