Job Description:

We are hiring a
Finance Supervisor
to oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management for our retail unit. The role includes ensuring accuracy and compliance, managing internal controls, optimizing costs, and providing financial insights to support business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

Supervise the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the retail business unit. Ensure that financial statements are accurate, timely, and in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for the retail business unit, working closely with department heads and senior management. Monitor performance against budgets and forecasts, providing insights on variances and corrective actions.

Financial Control:

Oversee daily financial operations to ensure proper accounting procedures are followed. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the integrity of financial data and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Cash Flow Management:

Monitor cash flow and working capital for the retail unit. Coordinate with accounts payable and receivable teams to ensure timely collection of outstanding amounts and efficient payment of supplier invoices.

Cost Management:

Analyze cost structures and identify opportunities for cost optimization in areas such as inventory, supply chain, and operating expenses. Provide recommendations to improve profitability.

Team Leadership:

Supervise and mentor a team of junior finance professionals, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities to foster a high-performing team. Conduct regular performance evaluations and ensure team alignment with departmental objectives.

Business Partnering:

Collaborate with retail operations, merchandising, and supply chain teams to provide financial insights and recommendations that drive business performance. Participate in business meetings to offer financial perspective on key initiatives and decisions.

Compliance & Audits:

Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP or IFRS) and regulatory requirements. Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits and implement recommendations as required.

System Improvements:

Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the finance function to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and streamline reporting.

Qualifications:

Education:
 Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. A professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or CFA is preferred.

Experience:
 3-5 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory, preferably within a retail or consumer goods environment.
