Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prioritize accounts according to the assignment assigned.
  • Review patient clinical and chart documentation for scheduled services by the provider's office.
  • Submit faxes with the completed Authorization Request form to the office of the Ordering Provider, and subsequently completing the Pre-Registration status.
  • Analysis of potential patient obligations and estimating the amount in estimation client tool, entering patient benefit information, including deductible, out-of-pocket expenses, co-insurance, and co-pay, into this tool to effectively calculate the estimated patient responsibility for a procedure.
  • Perform outbound calls as needed.
  • Data Accuracy: Verify patient information for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with privacy regulations, making necessary corrections as needed.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records and solutions provided for future reference and analysis.

Skills/ Qualifications

  • Comprehensive understanding of Medical Terminology
  • Prior experience in processing multispecialty authorizations including contact with payer
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Must be amendable to work on-site.
  • Excellent Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information effectively and patiently.
Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to diagnose issues, provide solutions, and adapt to varying needs
