The Civil & Structural Design Head works from bid preparation to project execution. He/She manages design quality, cost forecasting, and team performance, provides expert technical guidance, and coordinates with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

BID PREPARATION


• Manages the provision of cost-effective preliminary bid drawings and designs, concepts/schematic designs, engineering specifications and construction drawings.

DESIGN MANAGEMENT


• Manages the provision of pre-and-post construction Civil, Structural, Architectural and Sanitary engineering design inputs and requirements.


• Ensures the work is executed in accordance with project requirements, design basis, quality plans, schedules, and budgets, and in accordance with work instructions


• Manages the project design estimates, cost forecasting for scoping, feasibility analysis and budget preparations.


• Oversees the performance of Civil, Structural, Architectural and Sanitary team and maintains good communication and coordination in preparing project deliverables and resolving design concerns.


• Develops and evaluates the group's capacity by engaging to different activities such as conduct training for CSAS design engineers to improve productivity and quality of design, initiate implementation of advancement and improvement of CSAS designs for economic feasibility of design and application.

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE


• Oversees the overall quality of the Civil, Structural, Architectural and Sanitary (CSAS) design by ensuring that it is in accordance with project minimum requirements, design standards, quality plans, schedules, and budget.


• Conducts the final checking and evaluation of Vendor Reference Drawings, Specifications and Construction Drawings.


• Helps and provide expert advice for resolution of project concerns on CSAS designs.


• Reviews and coordinates documents from other disciplines, contractors, customers, and outside agencies


• Signs and seals Design/Drawings for Civil, Structural & Architectural Designers

Qualifications:

Education, Licenses and Certificates:


• Graduate of Bachelor's/College degree in Civil Engineering; PRC Licensed Engineer

Relevant Experience:


• At least twelve (12) years of design engineering experience in various projects such as relevant civil/structural design experience in various structures such as transmission and distribution systems, power plants, substations, buildings.


• At least three (3) years of engineering management experience.

• Trustworthy, hardworking and can work under pressure


• Good communication skills


• Strategic thinker


• Excellent project design management skills.


• Proficient in using Microsoft Operation Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project)
