Job Overview

The Logistics Checker is responsible for ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation of all cargo handled by the company. This role includes measuring cargoes, assisting customers with waybill preparation, and inspecting items during loading and unloading to prevent discrepancies or damages. The Logistics Checker will also perform messenger duties when required and must have a motorcycle for mobility.

Key Responsibilities

Cargo Verification & Measurement

  • Measure cargoes accurately before acceptance or dispatch.
  • Confirm cargo dimensions, quantity, and physical condition.
  • Ensure all cargoes are complete and free from damage during loading and unloading operations.
  • Report any missing, excess, or damaged items immediately to the supervisor.

Customer Assistance & Documentation

  • Assist customers in properly filling out waybills and related documents.
  • Ensure all required information (cargo description, quantity, weight, dimensions, sender/receiver details) is accurate and complete.
  • Maintain clear and organized records of daily transactions and checked cargoes.

Loading & Unloading Oversight

  • Monitor loading and unloading activities to ensure safe handling of cargo.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff, helpers, and drivers to maintain proper cargo arrangement.
  • Verify cargo labels and match them with documentation before dispatch.

Messenger & Coordination Duties

  • Perform messenger tasks such as delivering documents, picking up paperwork, or coordinating with business partners when time permits.
  • Use a personal motorcycle to accomplish messenger duties efficiently.
  • Communicate updates, issues, or concerns to the logistics supervisor in a timely manner.

Compliance & Safety

  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and operational standards.
  • Ensure that cargo handling practices minimize risk and prevent damage.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in cargo areas.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience in logistics, warehousing, or cargo handling is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must own a motorcycle and possess a valid driver's license.
  • Physically fit and able to perform cargo checking tasks.

Working Conditions

  • Work is performed in warehouse, loading bay, or yard environments.
  • May require lifting, measuring, and inspecting various types of cargo.
  • Occasional travel within operational areas for messenger duties.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php Php700.00 per day
