About the role

You build secure and scalable backend services. You take ownership of API design, data structures and system performance. You operate in an agile setup that values speed, accuracy and clear communication. You deliver stable features, support production and strengthen platform reliability.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and maintain REST APIs using Django and Django REST Framework.
  • Design efficient database schemas using Django ORM with PostgreSQL or MySQL.
  • Apply MVC principles and backend design patterns.
  • Implement Celery tasks, queues and background job processing.
  • Write unit tests using pytest or Django's testing framework.
  • Build and support microservices and domain driven components.
  • Implement GraphQL endpoints when required.
  • Improve performance using caching solutions.
  • Package and deploy applications using Docker.
  • Work with AWS services such as S3, RDS, Lambda and CloudWatch.
  • Coordinate with front end teams using React, Vue or Django templates.
  • Use Git for version control and follow CI CD workflows.
  • Review code for accuracy and maintainability.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and improve system behavior.

Required experience

  • Five or more years working with Django in production.
  • Strong background in Django REST Framework.
  • Proven experience designing relational database models.
  • Hands on experience with Celery and asynchronous tasks.
  • Experience with caching tools such as Redis.
  • Strong background with Docker deployments.
  • Familiarity with AWS workloads.
  • Experience with microservices.
  • Ability to write clean, testable code.
  • Comfortable in fast delivery cycles.

Preferred skills

  • GraphQL experience.
  • React or Vue experience.
  • Strong CI CD knowledge.
  • Domain driven design background.
