I. Job Purpose
This is a full-time on-site role for a Regulatory Reporting Officer located in Makati. The Regulatory Reporting Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, preparing and submitting financial statements and reports, and analyzing financial data. The role involves coordinating with various departments to gather necessary information for accurate and timely reporting to regulatory bodies.
II. Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures that the unit's targets for the year are met.
- Ensures that all processes/transactions/decisions of the unit adhere to established Bank policies and that the required turnaround times are met.
- Oversees the preparation of reports. Ensures that regulatory reports are submitted timely and with accuracy to avoid penalty, sanction or fine for inaccurate financial data before submission to BSP/PDIC/SEC/PSE/PAS/PFRS/BIR, Management, and other stakeholders.
- Ensures compliance to regulatory issuances (BSP/PDIC/SEC/PSE/PAS/PFRS/BIR) through proper interpretation of regulatory circulars or guidelines. Provides simulations to show impact of new regulatory issuances to the Bank.
- Responds to queries of examiners from government regulators to ensure that all audit deliverables are provided.
- Ensures implementation of regulatory reports for automation.
- Reviews user requirements of all regulatory reports for automation.
- Manages and supervises direct reports efficiently and effectively. Coaches, trains, and motivates direct reports as they perform their functions and responsibilities. Evaluates their job performance, provides feedback, and recommends promotions and disciplinary actions when appropriate.
- Attends to regulatory surveys and looks for alternative ways to answer these surveys.
- Supervises the maintenance of an efficient and accurate management information system to reflect Bank's assets, liabilities, income, and expenses, and other records.
- Identifies possible non-compliance issues and initiates correction of errors noted through coordination with originating units/Departments.
- Continuously reviews unit's procedures and recommends means to reduce processing time of report generation compliant with Bank policies and BSP/PDIC/SEC/PSE/BIR regulations and Philippine Accounting Standards and Philippine Financial Reporting Standards.
- Actively participates in the Bank's sustainable finance-related activities and performs functions as assigned, to help achieve sustainable finance and other sustainability goals of the Bank.
- Attends seminars and training programs related to the job.
- Performs other functions that may be assigned by superiors from time to time.
III. Job Qualifications
- Experience in Regulatory Compliance
- Strong Analytical Skills
- Background in Finance
- Proficiency in preparing Financial Statements and Financial Reporting Package with knowledge in API-XML
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Experience in the banking or financial industry is a plus
