Job Overview: As a versatile Milk Tea Barista, your role encompasses not only the creation and service of high-quality milk tea beverages but also includes proficiency in basic cooking skills. Operating in a fast-paced and customer-focused environment, you will be responsible for crafting delicious drinks, managing inventory, handling cashier duties, and preparing a variety of food items including ramen, pizza, takoyaki balls, French fries. The Milk Tea Barista plays a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and promoting the brand's image.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Beverage and Food Preparation:

  • Skillfully prepare a variety of milk tea beverages, including traditional and specialty recipes.
  • Utilize basic cooking skills to prepare food items such as ramen, pizza, takoyaki balls, and French fries.
  • Follow standardized recipes and procedures to maintain consistency in flavor and presentation.
  • Ensure the use of fresh, high-quality ingredients for both beverages and food.

2. Customer Service:

  • Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
  • Take customer orders for both drinks and food items, providing recommendations and answering questions.
  • Customize drinks and handle customer inquiries, resolving any issues or complaints promptly.

3. Operational Tasks:

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the milk tea preparation area and kitchen.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels of tea mixes, milk, syrups, and food ingredients.
  • Place orders for supplies and coordinate with vendors for timely deliveries.
  • Operate and maintain equipment such as tea brewers, blenders, and cooking appliances.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.

4. Cash Handling and POS Responsibilities:

  • Process customer payments accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Handle cash, credit, and other forms of payment responsibly.
  • Ensure the accuracy of transactions and provide customers with receipts.
  • Reconcile cash drawer at the end of each shift and report any discrepancies.

5. Team Collaboration:

  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and other baristas.
  • Assist with training new employees as needed.

6. Menu Knowledge and Upselling:

  • Stay informed about the menu, including seasonal offerings and promotions.
  • Upsell additional items or modifications to enhance the customer experience.

7. Maintaining Ambiance:

  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and inviting atmosphere in both the milk tea bar and kitchen.
  • Assist with restocking and organizing the serving, seating areas, and kitchen supplies.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role or the food and beverage industry is preferred.
  • Knowledge of various tea varieties, flavor profiles, and preparation methods.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
  • Proficient in cashier duties and experience with point-of-sale systems.
  • Basic cooking skills, including the preparation of ramen, pizza, takoyaki balls, and French fries.
