The Internal Audit Officer (Mining) will be responsible for conducting audits within critical operational areas of the company, with a focus on fuel procurement and usage, construction projects, and capital assets management. The role will ensure compliance, internal controls, and cost-effectiveness in these key expenditure areas, contributing to the optimization of resources and mitigating financial and operational risks.

Responsibilities:

  • Audit fuel transactions
  • Construction project audit

  • Risk Management and Internal Controls
  • Compliance and Regulatory Audits
  • Audit reporting and Recommendations
  • Cost Optimization and Efficiency Review
  • Collaboration with Other Departments

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance , Business Administration, Engineering or a related field
  • Certification in Internal Auditing (CIA, CPA or CISA) is preferred
  • At least 1 year experience in internal auditing, financial analysis or project auditing in a heavy industry, ideally in the mining or construction sectors
  • Experience with auditing high-value transactions, fuel procurement, construction projects and capital asset management is an advantage
  • Familiarity with mining operations and their associated risks is highly desirable
