Job Description

As a Rebar Detailer, you will work onsite to produce accurate shop drawings, estimate reinforcement quantities, and coordinate closely with engineers, production teams, and customers. Your work ensures reinforced steel designs are clash-free, buildable, and aligned with project timelines-supporting smooth fabrication and efficient on-site execution.

The Qualifications We Seek

• Bachelor's or College Degree in Civil Engineering or a related construction discipline.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry
• Hands-on exposure to rebar detailing or reinforcing steel drawings
• Strong working knowledge of CAD, including preparing drawings and producing electronic take-offs and quantity estimates from plans.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and respond effectively to urgent requirements.
• Demonstrated capability to handle multiple customer demands while maintaining accuracy and service quality.
• High level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask efficiently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheet preparation and basic data analysis.
• Prior experience managing staff or working as a Project Manager is an advantage but not required.
• Willing and able to work onsite in Eastwood City (non-negotiable)

Your Daily Tasks

• Identify areas that require re-engineering to avoid clashes in steel.
• Re-draw reinforcing from construction drawings to align with established methodologies.
• Source the correct materials required for projects.
• Produce shop drawings for prefabrication of beams/units and to assist staff on-site.
• Accurately estimate reinforcement steel in projects, ensuring documentation is completed on time.
• Communicate with customers regarding issues or additional information needed.
• Review projects to ensure accuracy and identify variations in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with Production and Placing Managers to clarify job requirements and deadlines.
• Generate shop drawings and product layout plans for customers and steel placers.
