SUMMARY
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Web Developer (WordPress) to join our growing Web Development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining dynamic websites and eCommerce platforms using WordPress, WooCommerce, and related technologies. This role requires hands-on experience in full-cycle website development—from building and customizing themes and plugins to integrating APIs and optimizing performance for seamless user experience.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


• Develop, maintain, and optimize WordPress websites, including theme and plugin customization.

• Build responsive and user-friendly front-end interfaces using HTML/HTML5, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and PHP.

• Implement and manage eCommerce solutions using WooCommerce and related plugins.

• Perform data imports, system integrations, and troubleshooting across various platforms.

• Work closely with the Web Support Specialist to provide technical support to multiple clients weekly.

• When required, communicate directly with clients to assess needs and implement effective web solutions.

• Utilize best practices for plugin selection, debugging, and vendor support resolution.

• Manage source control using Git and project tracking tools such as Asana or Teamwork.

• Ensure all deliverables meet SEO, ADA (WCAG 2.2+), and web security standards.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with design, content, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive website functionality and brand consistency.

QUALIFICATIONS


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 2–5 years of professional experience in WordPress development.

• Strong working knowledge of:
– Technologies/Languages: HTML/HTML5, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, , NPM
– Platforms: WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify
– Tools: SQL, MySQL, Git, wp-cli, and project management tools (Asana, Teamwork, etc.)

• Experience developing custom plugins and themes using the WordPress API.

• Proficiency with Elementor page builder and WooCommerce implementations.

• Familiarity with data integrations and migration processes.

• Preferred experience with:
– .NET Framework 4.x , pages, and user controls)
– .NET 8 (C# MVC Views)
– Foundation UI Framework
– Photoshop and WP Engine hosting environments

• Knowledge of SEO, ADA compliance, and web security best practices.

• Strong UI/UX understanding and testing experience , Mocha).

• Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to non-technical audiences.

• Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when needed.

• Experience managing client communications and applying basic business analysis or project management skills is an advantage.
