The Head of Corporate Affairs and Brand is responsible for leading the strategic direction and execution of the company's corporate communications strategy to enhance the company's reputation and shape the longer term business environment through external stakeholder and employee engagement. This role ensures alignment with business goals, enhances brand reputation, and fosters meaningful engagement with internal and external stakeholders. This role ensures consistent and impactful messaging across all platforms, supports organizational transformation, and fosters a strong internal and external brand presence.
The Head of Corporate Affairs is responsible for promoting and protecting the brand; and driving engagement with internal and external stakeholders to support business goals. The areas of coverage for this role include CEO/leadership communications; internal and agency communications; social/digital communications; public relations; issues management and thought-leadership.
Job Accountabilities:
Strategic Communications & Corporate Affairs
- Design and implement integrated communications programs and strategies to support business goals and raise engagement levels among internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead the overall development and production of content for strategic, internal, agency, media, and digital communications.
- Support the CEO and key Chiefs in their internal and external engagements and communications.
- Develop thought-leadership content and campaigns to promote the brand and position the company as an industry leader.
- Develop and maintain strong media relations across traditional and online platforms.
- Coach and support the Leadership Team in media interviews and speaking opportunities.
- Work with the Leadership Team on issues management, providing strategic counsel and communications support as needed.
- Partner with the Government Relations and Sustainability teams to support senior leaders' engagement with external agencies and government bodies.
- Collaborate with Group Corporate Affairs to develop and implement localized communications campaigns
Events Management
- Design programmes and content for key corporate events, including Board meetings, Regional/Group Leadership visits, and strategic employee engagements.
- Evaluate event effectiveness and continuously improve engagement strategies.
- Events include: Townhall meetings, Service Awards, Year-End Events etc. in collaboration with Human Resources and Marketing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, Public Relations, Business Administration or related field.
- Proven experience in managing executive communications, media relations, and strategic events.
- Strong understanding of stakeholder engagement, government relations, and brand positioning.
- Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills.
- High emotional intelligence and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in corporate communications, public affairs or events management
