L3 HELPDESK SPECIALIST

SHIFT: NIGHT / GRAVEYARD PHT

TYPE: FULL TIME; INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR

Job Description:

The L3 Helpdesk Specialist is responsible for providing advanced technical support and resolution for escalated issues across server, network, and cloud environments. This role ensures the stability, security, and efficiency of IT systems while collaborating with other IT teams to deliver seamless infrastructure and end-user support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 3 technical support for complex desktop, server, and network issues.
  • Perform Windows Server administration including setup, maintenance, and patch management.
  • Manage and support Active Directory and Office 365 environments, including synchronization, migration, and user management.
  • Administer Microsoft Exchange 2010 and higher, including mail flow, permissions, and backup configurations.
  • Configure and maintain firewalls, routers, and switches, ensuring secure and optimized network performance.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity issues, resolving outages and performance bottlenecks.
  • Oversee server and network monitoring, respond to alerts, and perform remediation as needed.
  • Support and administer anti-malware solutions, ensuring system protection and resolution of security incidents.
  • Manage backup systems, ensuring integrity and availability of critical data.
  • Assist in cloud migrations and basic private/public cloud administration tasks.
  • Provide advanced desktop troubleshooting for escalated end-user issues.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams on infrastructure improvements, upgrades, and incident management.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and update standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in an L3 Helpdesk, Systems Administrator, or Network Administrator role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server environments and Active Directory.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 administration, Exchange, and Azure AD integration.
  • In-depth understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs, etc.).
  • Experience with firewall configuration, backup solutions, and anti-malware administration.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or similar).
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Home Office Requirements:

  • Internet Connection : Must be 25 mbps at the least, preferably wired connection with PLDT, Cable connection is fine if it's more than 5mbps. We DO NOT accept plug-ins, wi-fi or wimax.
  • Computer/Laptop: The contractor must have a good working computer.
  • Headsets : The Contractor must have noise cancelling headsets preferably Plantronics Blackwire C320M headsets. Assessment will be done during test calls.
  • Dedicated Home Office - Contractors are required to have a dedicated home office free from noise and distractions.
  • Webcam - for meeting purposes
  • Must be comfortable in working with Time Doctor/Screenshot Monitor
