Key Responsibilities

  • Design and document game mechanics, systems, and features
  • Develop level layouts, missions, quests, and game progression
  • Collaborate closely with developers, artists, and producers to implement and iterate game design
  • Create prototypes and iterate based on feedback and playtesting
  • Analyze player behavior and metrics to inform design improvements
  • Balance gameplay elements to maintain challenge and player engagement
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas
  • Maintain design documentation and ensure clear communication across teams
  • Stay updated on gaming trends, player preferences. and competitor analysis

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Game Design, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in game design or related roles
  • Strong understanding of game mechanics, level design, and player psychology
  • Experience with design tools such as Unity, Unreal Engine, or proprietary editors
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to take creative feedback and iterate quickly
  • Passion for game and storytelling

Preferred

  • Experience with user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Lua, Python)
  • Experience working with Unity, usage of tools
  • Experience working on multiplayer or live service games
  • Knowledge of Data analytics and A/B testing to optimize game design
