Qualifications:
- At least 2 years previous work experience as a Quality Analyst in healthcare insurance collections, self-pay collections and customer service in a call center setting or compliance and/or training
- Experience with training new users
- Knowledge of EOBs, CPT & ICD-9 & 10 codes, HCFAs, UB92s, HCPCS, DRGs and authorizations/ referrals.
- Strong understanding of the basic healthcare revenue cycle operational processes such as the functions of insurance, patient billing & collections, Managed Care, Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Practices
- Experience with practice management systems. EPIC PB, Allscripts and/or Cerner preferred
- Knowledge of the denied claims and appeals process
- Must have an experience in outbound transaction AR process (Payers).
Job Description:
- Quality Assurance and Auditing:
You are responsible for ensuring that all project quality processes are followed by the denials analyst team. This includes conducting detailed audits, preparing reports on your findings, and making sure the team meets both internal and client-specific quality metrics. - Performance Improvement:
A key part of the role is identifying and implementing methods to achieve quality targets. You'll work with leads and managers to develop and implement these improvements, assist with quality assessments, and participate in ongoing education and performance improvement activities. - Communication and Training:
You will share relevant information with the team, take the lead on project completion, and participate in client presentations. Additionally, you'll be involved in training new hires, conducting refresher courses, and communicating changes in guidelines and regulations to ensure the team is always up-to-date, - Compliance and Teamwork:
You must understand and comply with all policies, especially those related to HIPAA and Information Security. This includes protecting patient health information (PHI) and monitoring changes in laws and regulations. You are also expected to foster a collaborative and professional team environment.
