The MST Team Lead is responsible for supervising and guiding a team of Multi-Skilled Technicians to ensure the proper maintenance, repair, and operation of facility systems, equipment, and machinery. The role includes hands-on technical work, team supervision, task coordination, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of Multi-Skilled Technicians in daily maintenance and repair activities.
  • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of work orders.
  • Perform advanced technical work, including troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Review maintenance reports, checklists, and documentation submitted by the team.
  • Ensure adherence to safety procedures, company policies, and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate with the Facilities Manager or Engineering Lead for project planning and resource allocation.
  • Provide technical training, coaching, and mentoring to technicians.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
  • Manage inventory of tools, materials, and equipment needed for maintenance operations.
  • Respond to urgent maintenance concerns and provide guidance during emergencies.
  • Assist in preparing maintenance schedules, reports, and operational updates.

Qualifications:

  • Vocational/Technical Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Technician, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or senior role.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and building systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and plans.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Willingness to work shifts, overtime, or be on-call when necessary.
