What is the job?

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of cash accounting and related financial reporting activities. The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations. They are responsible for working with the Team Leader to manager and motivate the team to achieve organizational goals, ensuring the accuracy and quality of work. The role is also involved with training team members. Possessing excellent leadership skills, strong accounting background, and the ability to drive results in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, analyze, and ensure compliance of financial statements with GAAP/IFRS.
  • Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities and reports.
  • Record and reconcile journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and general ledger accounts.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to junior accountants.
  • Analyze financial data, trends, and anomalies to support business decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), with advanced Excel expertise in formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
  • Able to analyze financial data effectively, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues with efficiency.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, ensuring financial data is accurate, complete, and reliable.
  • Capable of working independently while collaborating seamlessly with team members and senior leadership.
  • Skilled in communication and interpersonal interaction, enabling effective teamwork and client engagement.
  • Knowledgeable in US GAAP and accounting principles, with a strong preference for CPA qualification.
