An Auto Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing electrical and electronic systems in vehicles. This includes working on wiring, lighting, ignition, charging systems, air conditioning, alarms, and other electrical components to ensure vehicles operate safely and efficiently. The Auto Electrician helps prevent electrical failures that can disrupt operations and ensures compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicle electrical wiring, circuits, and components.
  • Install and maintain electrical systems such as lighting, ignition, battery, alternators, and starters.
  • Test and replace faulty electrical parts using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic control systems (sensors, relays, ECU, etc.).
  • Ensure proper calibration and functionality of electrical systems after repair.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to avoid electrical malfunctions.
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records.
  • Follow safety procedures and electrical codes while performing tasks.
  • Collaborate with mechanics and service teams to resolve complex issues.
  • Keep tools and equipment in good condition and maintain a safe workspace.
Qualifications:
  • Vocational or technical course in Automotive Electrical or related field.
  • TESDA or equivalent certification in automotive electrical systems (preferred).
  • At least 1–2 years of relevant experience in vehicle electrical repair and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical and electronic systems.
  • Skilled in using electrical testing tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Physically fit and able to work in various conditions.
