Finance Supervisor

Position Overview:
This role is responsible for the integrity of general accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy of financial records, support strategic analysis, and contribute to the development of a high-performing accounting team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. General Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Manage the full cycle of accounts payable, including the review of payment requests, vouchers, and supporting documents for accuracy and compliance.
- Process payments via check, wire transfer, and other methods for contractors and suppliers.
- Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and adjusting entries, ensuring proper account coding.
- Maintain and reconcile key general ledger accounts and schedules.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting reports for management.
- Ensure all financial records and expense reports are accurately maintained and up-to-date.
2. Financial Analysis, Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in the preparation of the annual departmental budget and periodic forecasts.
- Prepare monthly financial commentary and variance analysis.
- Support the preparation of feasibility studies and other financial analyses as required.
- Contribute to the development and monitoring of budget worksheets.
3. Compliance, Audit & Tax
- Assist with the preparation for both internal and external audits.
- Prepare and file quarterly and annual tax returns (e.g., BIR 1702Q, 1702) using the EFPS.
- Support the finance team during tax audits and inquiries.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of quarterly and annual reports for regulatory bodies (PSE/SEC).
4. Team Leadership & Departmental Administration
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of accounting staff, identifying opportunities for training and development.
- Participate in the recruitment and interviewing of new departmental employees in partnership with HR.
- Lead the accounting portion of the departmental orientation for new hires.
- Establish and maintain effective work schedules to meet deadlines.
- Ensure the proper maintenance, organization, and confidentiality of all departmental files and records.
5. General Professional Duties
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conduct as outlined in the company's code of conduct.
- Foster and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues across all departments.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings and company initiatives.
- Commit to ongoing professional development and training.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Php30, Php40,000.00 per month
