Job Summary
The Learning and Development Officer is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating learning programs that enhance employee skills, performance, and engagement across the organization.
The role focuses on identifying L&D needs, developing effective learning interventions, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and competencies. The L&D Officer collaborates with department heads and subject matter experts to deliver impactful learning initiatives, monitor their effectiveness, and support a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Principal Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Learning Needs Analysis
Conduct training needs assessments in coordination with Talent Management who handles the Performance Management System (PMS).
Identify skill gaps, performance issues, and development opportunities aligned with organizational goals.
Training Program Design and Development
Develop, design, and update training materials, modules, and learning content using various instructional methods.
Ensure learning programs are engaging, relevant, and tailored to target audiences.
Training Implementation and Facilitation
Organize, coordinate, and facilitate in-house and external learning sessions, workshops, and seminars.
Liaise with external training providers and manage logistics for learning activities.
Monitoring and Evaluation
Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of learning programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
Recommend improvements based on evaluation results and learner feedback.
Innovation and Learning Technology
Explore and implement digital learning solutions (e-learning platforms, LMS, webinars, etc.).
Stay updated with emerging trends and best practices in learning and development.
Qualifications Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Education, Business Administration, or any related field.
- At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in Learning and Development, Training, or Organizational Development.
- Experience in training design, facilitation, and evaluation (including both soft skills and technical training).
-Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and digital learning tools.
For hospital settings: Experience in healthcare staff development or competency-based training is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of training cycle management — from needs analysis to evaluation.
Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
Proficient in instructional design and adult learning principles.
Analytical and data-driven; able to measure learning impact.
Excellent coordination and organizational skills.
Proficient in MS Office and digital learning platforms (e.g., Moodle, Canva, Articulate, or similar tools).
Creative, resourceful, and able to adapt learning strategies to diverse audiences.
Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
Training & Certifications/Others:
-Training the Trainers or Facilitation Skills certification.
-Instructional Design Certification or e-Learning Development Training
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresh graduate
