Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Mechanical Designer, located in Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Philippines. The Mechanical Designer will be responsible for creating technical drawings and developing mechanical systems. They will also engage in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), participate in Research and Development (R&D), and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure project success. The role involves overseeing the design process from concept through to manufacturing, ensuring precision and quality in all delivered products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop accurate 2D drawings and 3D models in SolidWorks for mechanical and product components.
  • Produce assembly drawings, exploded views, and technical documentation with precise tolerances and annotations.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and design teams to deliver functional, innovative solutions.
  • Support the development and improvement of products, components, and systems.
  • Revise and update designs based on feedback, redlines, or technical iterations.
  • Maintain organized drawing files and ensure consistent version control.
  • Prepare detailed outputs to support prototyping and fabrication.
  • Adhere to industry drafting standards and engineering best practices.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting Technology, Industrial Design, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in CAD drafting, with advanced proficiency in SolidWorks.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, tolerancing, and engineering principles.
  • Ability to produce part drawings, sheet metal layouts, and complex assemblies.
  • Experience with PDM or document control systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with rendering, animation, or simulation tools in SolidWorks is an advantage.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and in team settings.
