Mechanical Engineer (Drone Fuselage & Frame Design)

We are an international drone company expanding in the Philippines and looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to help create the fuselage and frame of our next-generation drones. If you are passionate about CAD design, aerodynamics, and building drones from the ground up, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design lightweight and durable drone fuselages using CAD tools

  • Develop structural solutions for small quadcopters (similar to racing drones)

  • Select and evaluate materials such as carbon fiber, composites, and 3D printing polymers

  • Collaborate with electrical engineers to integrate PCB boards, motors, and flight controllers into the fuselage

  • Support prototyping, testing, and iterative design improvements

Wishlist Skillset (Drone-Specific):

  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, CATIA, or similar)

  • Experience designing lightweight structures for UAVs, RC aircraft, or drones

  • Understanding of aerodynamics and airflow optimization for small quadcopters

  • Knowledge of material selection (carbon fiber layups, aluminum, polymers, composites)

  • Familiarity with structural analysis and FEA (Finite Element Analysis)

  • Experience with additive manufacturing (3D printing) and CNC machining for prototyping

  • Ability to design compact, modular, and foldable frames for transportability

  • Understanding of vibration damping and motor mount design to minimize noise

  • Hands-on experience assembling drones, RC aircraft, or racing quadcopters

  • (Bonus) Knowledge of gimbal mounts and camera integration

  • (Bonus) Passion for FPV drone racing or custom drone building

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

  • At least 2 years of experience in mechanical design, CAD, or structural engineering

  • Strong problem-solving skills and creativity in lightweight structure design

  • Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-disciplinary environment

  • Genuine interest in drones and UAV technology

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php40, Php60,000.00 per month
