Job Summary

The Data Management Associate is responsible for the collection, organization, validation, and management of data related to resettlement, livelihood restoration, and community engagement activities. Working under the supervision of the Community Liaison Officer, the Data Management Associate ensures accurate and timely documentation, encoding, and reporting of project data to support compliance, monitoring, and decision-making processes.

He/She will maintain databases, track indicators, and support the preparation of reports essential for monitoring program performance and alignment with company standards and leverage to international social safeguards. The role plays a key function in ensuring data integrity and transparency in support of the company's resettlement and livelihood restoration objectives.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities (What – How-Why)

Data Collection and Encoding

  • Collects, encodes, and maintains accurate records of project-affected persons (PAPs), assets, compensation details, and livelihood program participants
  • Consolidates data gathered from field activities such as surveys, consultations, and monitoring visits
  • Ensures completeness, consistency, and accuracy of collected data before uploading to databases or reports

Database and Information Management

  • Establishes and maintains organized digital and physical filing systems for project data and supporting documents
  • Updates and maintains the resettlement and livelihood databases, ensuring data security and confidentiality
  • Assists in the design, improvement, and use of database templates and data management tools

Compliance and Reporting

  • Supports preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly data reports for submission to CLO and RLRL Lead
  • Generates charts, tables, and summaries for internal reports, presentations, and compliance documentation
  • Tracks progress and performance indicators related to resettlement, livelihood restoration, and community engagement

Coordination, Support, Representation, and Administration

  • Provides logistical and administrative support during field data collection activities
  • Accomplishes tasks that may be assigned by management from time to time.

Key Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in data management, documentation, or administrative support, preferably within community development, infrastructure, or energy projects.
  • Strong background and experience in with database management systems, MS Excel/Google Sheets
  • Background in handling socio-economic, resettlement, or livelihood and legal document is an advantage
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Information Systems, Management, or Technical courses (with demonstrated experience in data management or reporting systems)
  • Willing to accept project-based employment status
  • Willing to travel to project sites
