ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a detail-oriented BIM Modeler to support our in-house Architect on residential projects for an Australian-based builder. The role focuses on creating accurate Revit models from 2D drawings, ensuring correct family naming and grouping to integrate seamlessly with the company's estimating system. This is a technical and documentation-focused role, ideal for someone experienced in Revit modeling who can deliver accurate and high-quality project outputs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Convert 2D PDF drawings into precise and structured Revit models for both interior and exterior elements.
• Apply correct family naming conventions and grouping to align with estimating workflows.
• Collaborate with the Architect to refine and improve the quality of design documentation and incoming drawings.
• Support the estimation process by ensuring Revit families are categorized properly for drag-and-drop use in the estimating platform.
• Prepare, update, and modify design documentation for residential new builds and occasional renovation/add-on projects.
• Where required, interpret and work with Matterport-generated 3D scan files to model existing conditions.
• Ensure all outputs comply with internal Revit/CAD standards and best practices.
• Report to and work closely with the Architect to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, with hands-on experience in residential modeling.
• Ability to convert 2D PDF drawings into detailed and accurate 3D Revit models.
• Knowledge of Revit families, naming conventions, and grouping for estimating integration.
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring all outputs are accurate and clean.
• Good communication skills and ability to work under the supervision of an Architect.
• Experience in residential design and construction documentation preferred.
• Familiarity with Matterport files is an advantage but not required.
• Basic understanding of construction estimating processes is a plus, though not essential.
