Job DescriptionJob ObjectiveThe Farm Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising and controlling Maintenance and Engineering resources to establish, implement, and continuously improve a proactive, cost-efficient, comprehensive maintenance program covering Mechanical, Electrical, Building, Grounds, Instrumentation, and process control.
Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage and implement effective maintenance programs for farm equipment to ensure maximum uptime. Analyze recurring equipment failures and execute corrective actions. Coordinate with department heads on maintenance scheduling to increase equipment availability and lifespan while ensuring safety and reliability.
Resolve operational issues and deviations in equipment performance, escalating unresolved problems to the department head. Ensure cost-efficient repair and maintenance of farm equipment and machinery. Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring service level standards for maintenance services.
Preventive Maintenance SystemDesign and implement effective preventive maintenance programs to enhance equipment reliability. Maintain up-to-date records of inventory, equipment history, and costs, and implement cost reduction initiatives. Power Supply ManagementCoordinate with power utilities on supply and quality issues.
Analyze load profiles and implement energy conservation programs to optimize power use. Spare Parts and Supply ManagementWork with the Warehouse Manager to ensure availability of materials, spare parts, and supplies for operations and maintenance.
Strategic and Financial PlanningDevelop and execute departmental strategic and operational plans. Prepare and manage the departmental budget. QualificationsLicensed Electrical Engineer or Mechanical Engineer.3-5 years in farm maintenance operations or 5-10 years in maintenance roles.
