Key Responsibilities

  • Install, calibrate, and configure electro-mechanical systems including motors, conveyors, pumps, sensors, and control units.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment issues using tools such as multi meters, oscilloscopes, and callipers.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and mechanical blueprints.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of PLCs and automation controls.
  • Document all maintenance activities, part replacements, and downtime incidents.
  • Suggest system improvements to enhance efficiency and minimize production disruptions.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety protocols, and safety procedures (e.g., lock-out/tag-out).
  • Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and production teams to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications Required:

  • Vocational diploma or associate degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or related field.
  • Strong skills in both electrical diagnostics and mechanical repair.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Familiarity with tools (multi meters, callipers, hand/power tools).
  • Basic knowledge of PLCs, motor controllers, and control systems.
  • Good troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.

Preferred:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment.
  • TESDA Certification (e.g., Mechatronics Servicing NC II).
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience with CMMS or digital maintenance reporting tools.

Working Conditions

  • Industrial food manufacturing setting.
  • May require shift work, overtime, or on-call duty during production downtime.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift moderate weight, and work around moving equipment.
