Internal Audit Head

Job Summary:

The Internal Audit Head is responsible for overseeing the company's internal audit function, ensuring the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes. This role will design and implement audit strategies that align with business objectives, with a focus on compliance and operational efficiency within the real estate industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the annual internal audit plan based on risk assessment and company priorities.
  • Lead and supervise the internal audit team in conducting financial, operational, and compliance audits.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, accounting systems, and processes across all departments.
  • Identify areas of risk, inefficiency, and non-compliance, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Review and assess the accuracy of financial records, reports, and statements.
  • Prepare and present audit findings, reports, and recommendations to senior management and the Audit Committee.
  • Monitor the implementation of agreed-upon corrective measures and improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.
  • Provide strategic insights to management on improving governance and risk management practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required; CIA, CISA, or CFE certification is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 8–10 years of relevant experience in internal audit, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Must have relevant experience in the real estate industry.
  • Strong understanding of audit methodologies, risk assessment, and internal control frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
